El equipo de Suso Gallardo comenzará el torneo liguero ante un recién ascendido

Llega la Liga Guerreras Iberdrola. Tras el éxito de la pasada temporada y de una pretemporada donde la confección del equipo se ha caracterizado por la llegada de una nueva incorporación y la renovación de varias jugadoras, el equipo afronta en el Pabellón Ciudad Jardín (20:00 horas) su primer partido ante un recién ascendido. En este encuentro se podrá contar con el factor público en sus gradas y con el debut de la brasileña Talita Alves cuya documentación llegó a tiempo a principios de esta semana.
Aunque será complicado poder igualar la consecución de títulos de la pasada temporada, el equipo quiere ir partido a partido pero se tiene la creencia de que existen grandes expectativas de poder luchar por el torneo liguero, esa será la mentalidad. Para ello, el cuerpo técnico ha considerado seguir con la misma plantilla dado que se trata de jugadoras que se conocen entre sí y tienen muy claro tanto la filosofía como las exigencias de Suso Gallardo. Desde el club, se ha considerado que lo podía llegar de fuera no mejoraba el nivel competitivo, es por ello por lo que ha llevado a cabo la estrategia de renovación de jugadoras de la pasada temporada.
El entrenador costasoleño habló de lo que ha supuesto para su club las graves lesiones de María Pérez y Rocío Rojas, así de lo que espera de su equipo: «Han sido dos mazazos muy duros. Los primeros días esas lesiones, que además se produjeron prácticamente una detrás de otra, de forma fortuita y con mucha mala suerte, fue un golpe anímico duro. Pero el equipo ya se ha concienciado, ha cambiado el chip, sabe que tiene que currar y apretar más fuerte y tirar del carro. Estamos preparados para cumplir ese objetivo que son los dos puntos en casa. Espero que nosotras, y más en casa, saquemos a relucir su mejor juego, que defendamos y podamos correr. El público será clave, ya el año pasado lo notamos. Va a ser ese jugador número ocho que nos lleve en volandas en los partidos de casa que van a ser fundamentales este año».
Haciendo un análisis de las canarias, Suso no quiere confianzas y sabe que aunque sea un equipo recién ascendido no pondrá las cosas fáciles: «Un partido complicado. Es un recién ascendido que ha hecho siete u ocho fichajes de gente internacional y con experiencia en División de Honor, aguerrido como todos los equipos canarios, con bastante físico».
Silvia Arderius analizó todo lo ocurrido en pretemporada: «Se hace larga, es el periodo que menos nos gusta a las jugadoras del año y tenemos ganas de entrar en faena y competir. Fue un golpe muy duro dos lesiones tan graves y además en la misma semana. Los ánimos han mejorado, hemos podido incorporar un fichaje que creo que también ha traído bastante ilusión al equipo porque era algo importante».
Al igual que el entrenador, Silvia habló sobre el equipo rival y la importancia del público en Ciudad Jardín: «Sobre el equipo canario, tenemos pocas referencias de ellas. Sabes los resultados de pretemporada, que han causado buenas sensaciones. Pero esos resultados en la preparación engañan un poco, no sabes por donde te van a salir. Respecto a nuestro público, estamos encantadas de que puedan volver a entrar. Nosotras el año pasado tuvimos público en los partidos importantes y se notó mucho», sentenció.
Recordemos que aquellos aficionados que hayan comprado el abono de temporada en la web, podrán recogerlo hoy en la taquilla del pabellón antes del comienzo del partido.
