El equipo blanquiazul logra reforzar la zona de ataque con la presencia del onubense

Hacía pocos minutos se había celebrado la presentación de las camisetas oficiales para la temporada 2020/2021. Poco después, el Málaga CF oficializó a través de las redes sociales la séptima incorporación en el equipo: la llegada del onubense Caye Quintana, en forma de cesión, procedente del Cádiz por una temporada y sin opción a compra por parte de los malacitanos. Según acuerdo entre las partes, el club gaditano se hace cargo de la mayor parte de la ficha.
Aunque el jugador de 26 años llevaba varios días esperando, causó sorpresa el anuncio oficial del club en el día de hoy, dado la problemática existente con las inscripciones de los jugadores y el aviso de laLiga de no anunciar oficialmente fichajes antes de que se solucionasen las salidas que se debían llevar a cabo. Esto hace pensar que la situación ha quedado parcialmente desbloqueada.
Al quedar anunciado este fichaje y concretarse por el salario mínimo, teóricamente Pellicer podrá contar con el punta onubense para el partido que se dispute el próximo domingo en el Helidoro Rodríguez López dado que podría estar inscrito sin problema alguno, que será el inicio liguero del club malacitano. Junto a Orlando Sá, se refuerza la zona ofensiva del equipo para esta temporada.
La pasada temporada, Caye Quintana jugó 27 partidos (trece con el Cádiz y catorce con el Fuenlabrada debido a su cesión). Únicamente logró anotar un gol, precisamente en el partido disputado con el Cádiz en La Rosaleda. Recibió dos tarjetas amarillas y una tarjeta roja. Acumuló 1.339 minutos. Sus mejores datos lo obtuvo cuando estuvo en el Recreativo de Huelva, en la temporada 2018/2019, donde logró anotar 16 goles y fue campeón de grupo en Segunda División B.
