El Costa del Sol Málaga inició la pretemporada 2023-2024

El equipo diseña un calendario de varios partidos durante este mes para afrontar una exigente temporada

Las vigentes campeonas ligueras comenzaron la pretemporada el pasado día 28 de julio. Eli Cesáreo fue el primer fichaje del Costa del Sol que se oficializó el pasado mes de marzo y, con ella, han llegado igualmente Patricia Lima, Gabriela Bitolo y Estitxu Berasategi como refuerzos. Se trata de cuatro incorporaciones que dotarán a la plantilla costasoleña de mayor madurez, profundidad y potencial. Junto a la continuidad de pilares básicos en la plantilla como Sole López, Isa Medeiros, Merche Castellanos, Estela Doíro o Rocío Campigli, se espera poder aspirar a grandes objetivos durante la temporada 2023/2024.

Lo que es oficial es el rival al que se enfrentará el Costa del Sol Málaga en la segunda ronda de la EHF European League: el Larvik Noruego se trata de un duro contrincante que ha logrado dieciocho ligas, dieciséis copas y una Champions League. Además, la ida se disputará en Málaga por lo que se hace más complicado el pase a la siguiente ronda. Suso Gallardo ha reconocido que quizás era el peor rival que les podía haber tocado en el sorteo.

Por otra parte, se va a producir la primera participación del club en la Supercopa Ibérica Femenina el próximo 8 y 9 de septiembre que se celebrará en Donosti. En semifinales se enfrentará al Madeira Andebol (segundo clasificado en liga y copa portuguesa) y, en caso de lograr la victoria, se enfrentaría al ganador del Benfica-Super Amara Bera Bera.

Las malagueñas han planificado en esta pretemporada ocho amistosos durante el mes de agosto, cinco de ellos en la provincia. El pasado día 5 de agosto se disputó el primer amistoso ante el Elda Prestigio y lograron vencer por (30-22). En el doble enfrentamiento ante el Elche en el Trofeo Villa de Frigiliana la pasada semana, cara y cruz para los de Suso Gallardo que vieron como cayeron el pasado viernes por (21-26) ante el subcampeón liguero tras ser superadas en el segundo periodo con un parcial de las ilicitanas de (0-6) que fue imposible para las malagueñas. No obstante, al día siguiente las malagueñas lograron ganar con mejores sensaciones y tras imponerse sobre todo en la segunda mitad. Destacó la presencia, tras su larga inactividad, de la capitana Sole López.

El equipo continúa su puesta a punto de cara a los próximos enfrentamientos.
