El Costa del Sol Málaga pone la directa hacia la final (30-27)

Un parcial de (6-1) en el primer periodo rompió el partido a favor de los locales.

El Costa del Sol Málaga accede a la final de la Liga Guerreras Iberdrola a lo grande tras anotarse la segunda victoria de la eliminatoria, por la vía rápida. Mostraron ser superiores a las canarias, a pesar de las dificultades defensivas que mostraron estas durante el encuentro.

El inicio del partido fue de color canario, y es que las visitantes se mostraron muy rocosas en defensa y las de Suso Gallardo muy dubitativas en ataque. Esto, unido a la eficacia en zona ofensiva, hizo que Rocasa mandase en el marcador en el primer tramo del encuentro. No obstante, con el (4-5) se reactivó el equipo local, encontrando su juego y logrando un parcial de (6-1) que dinamitó el encuentro y provocó que hubiese una distancia considerable en el marcador, destacando Medeiros,  hasta el (16-11) con el que se llegó al descanso.

En el segundo periodo, demostraron las canarias que no iban a rendirse en el encuentro pero en el primer tercio del partido las dos exclusiones sufridas pusieron muy cuesta arriba las opciones de remontada. Esto, unido a la actuación de Merche Castellano con dos paradas fundamentales y tres goles de Espe López en otros tantos ataques consecutivos mantuvieron la distancia en los últimos diez minutos del encuentro. Aunque recortaron el marcador las visitantes, las de Suso Gallardo supieron jugar con los tiempos en ataques y no se les escaparía el partido y con ello el acceso a la eliminatoria final por el título liguero.

Se impuso con contundencia al Rocasa Gran Canaria (30-27) en un Carranque que exhibió un ambiente espectacular. Afición y jugadoras celebraron un billete que le pone el sobresaliente a la temporada, ahora falta por ponerle la guinda. El único título que no está en la vitrina. Tan cerca, tan lejos.

Las canarias cogían la primera renta y mandaban señales de que venían a empatar la serie (1-3, 2-4). Remaba el conjunto de Suso Gallardo, que cogía velocidad para ponerse por delante. Estela Doiro, sublime en la finalización, con dos goles volteaba (8-6). Ahí volaban las malagueñas, tanto que un tanto de Isa Medeiros provocaba que Juan Moreno parase el partido. No levantaban el pie las de casa, con flow y con el pabellón en pie. María Pérez ponía un 13-8 que invitaba a soñar. Estiraban hasta el 16-10, pero se mantenían con vida las isleñas al descanso (16-11).

Quedaba aguantar la última bala del Rocasa Gran Canaria, que no se abandonaba pese a la diferencia y el contexto. Rocío Rojas se mostraba impecable desde el extremo, con un tino impresionante (21-16). Era el momento para mostrar colmillo. Y ahí aparecían Doiro y Espe López para estirar y desatar el júbilo en la afición, que tocaba la final con las manos (24-18). Y, aunque con un poco de suspense, las panteras tenían temple para sellar un billete que es histórico. Un 30-27 que deja a dos, quizá tres, partidos del título de la Liga Guerreras Iberdrola. Ahora toca esperar rival de la otra eliminatoria, la que mide al Super Amara Bera Bera y el Atticgo BM Elche. 1-1 y se decidirá el domingo en el José Antonio Gasca de San Sebastián. Sea como fuere, séptima final en tres años para un Costa del Sol Málaga maravilloso. Cómo no soñar».
